Eight new character posters from ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′ remind audiences that the end is nigh – and all bets are off.
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 might be one of this summer’s most anticipated movies – but for many fans, watching the long running series reach its inevitable conclusion is bound to be a bittersweet experience. The full-length trailer seemed to promise the no-holds-barred climax we’ve all been waiting for and although it’s gratifying to finally reach the end of this journey – it’s surely going to be difficult for some to say goodbye.
The marketing for this final installment indicates that Warner Bros. is all too aware of the cultural impact that the Harry Potter series has had. The first teaser poster unveiled back in March was simple, iconic, and suitably ominous. The latest batch of character posters from the film’s official Facebook page take a similar approach.
These images of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Voldemort, Draco, Snape, and Bellatrix have been popping up online one by one for the last couple of weeks and now we’ve collected all of them into one convenient gallery. As an example of just how ingrained in pop-culture this series has become, these images don’t even need to feature the title of the film – just close-ups of the primary players accompanied by the foreboding tag line: “It All Ends.”
Finality seems to be the running theme, with all of the promotion for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and these posters should do an effective job of reminding audiences of the emotional connection they share with these characters and this franchise.

The conclusion of this series benefits from a decade’s worth of momentum and it’s nearly impossible to look at these images and not consider just how far we’ve come with these characters. Not only were the books by J.K. Rowling unique in their own right, but the Harry Potter film franchise has been a revolutionary experience that we’ve already seen Hollywood try to duplicate with varying degrees of success.
Now, we can reflect on what an amazing ride it’s been while looking forward to the culmination of everything we’ve invested into these characters and their world.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hits theaters on July 15.
